Many workplaces in Britain, Europe and the wider world suffer from difficulty in building peaceful and constructive human relationships. Bullying and tacit emotional and mental violence go on in workplaces worldwide. In some situations and professional working contexts, in recent years, we have seen a frightening rise of verbal abuse and emotional bullying. Bad management / employee relations often ends up in lower productivity and a kind of stasis whereby staff and managers avoid each other and everybody does the minimum they can get away with ! Scientific studies of productivity in the workplace show that better communications and being clear about one's needs results in happier working environments in which everybody flourishes ! So many days are lost through psychological malaise and feelings of discontent at work - which could be nipped in the bud with a simple constructive interventions by our mediation service. IIPSGP is available to give advice on conflict resolution methods that actually work, or on communication advice that succeeds through creating a shared ethos of responsibility on the part of all those involved. This part of our overall service is premised on the pioneering work of George N Daffern (1911-1973) who founded the concept of Management by Objectives during his time as chief Personnel officer at Canadian National Railways from 1950-1960. The idea caught on and thinkers like Peter Drucker and others began to evolve the theory into different directions. By carefully defining the company's objectives and getting all staff and all management to agree to them and to articulate their own role in fulfilling them, there is far less wiggle room for dissension, and psychological conflict. our goal is to apply this larger paradigm on the micro-level of company conflict resolution.
